Your Journey Unfolds
What does it feel like to follow the sound of hooves from mountain valleys to the open Atlantic? This horseback journey through Morocco flows between two worlds — the wild calm of the Atlas Mountains and the endless breeze of the ocean coast. Each day takes you through argan forests, quiet villages, soft dunes, rivers, and long empty beaches where riders and horses move as one.
You’ll ride past ancient argan trees, share mint tea in Berber hamlets, feel ocean spray and gallop along golden shores. There are slow scenic days through valleys and lively coastal rides, moments of stillness by mountain lakes, and unforgettable encounters — from gallopping along the atlantic coastto discovering traditional salt mines beneath the peaks of the Atlas. Evenings bring warm Moroccan meals and the rhythm of life far from busy roads.
With luggage transported daily, carefully chosen accommodations, and a team that takes care of every detail, you’re free to focus on riding, landscapes, and connection — with nature, culture, and your horse. From the coast, deep into the mountains, this is Morocco experienced at its most authentic pace.
Saddle up and ride the country’s most beautiful paths!
Destination: The Atlas Mountains
Stretching across North Africa, the Atlas Mountains are the region’s highest range, known by the local Berber people as ‘Idraren Draren’—the “Mountains of Mountains.” This striking landscape forms a natural barrier between the sun-scorched Sahara and Morocco’s cooler Atlantic coast, offering a mix of dramatic terrain, deep-rooted culture, and timeless tradition.
At the heart of the High Atlas lies Jebel Toubkal, the tallest peak in North Africa at 4,167 metres. Scattered across the valleys and foothills are traditional Berber communities who continue to live from agriculture and pastoralism, preserving ways of life passed down through generations.
Among these mountain gems is the tranquil village of Ouirgane, set in a lush valley surrounded by red hills and olive groves. The village sits beside a picturesque reservoir, Lake Ouirgane, its calm waters reflecting the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Just beyond, you’ll find ancient salt mines, still in use today, where locals extract salt using centuries-old methods—a fascinating glimpse into traditional mountain industry.
