Your Journey Unfolds

You will return home with…

You will return home with the rhythm of hooves still echoing in your heart, the scent of argan and eucalyptus lingering in your senses, and memories of Morocco’s wild beauty etched into your soul. From the windswept beaches of Essaouira, where you galloped along the Atlantic and rode beneath ancient argan forests, to the golden dunes and tranquil countryside of Sidi Kaouki, every ride brought freedom, exhilaration, and connection with your horse.

You will carry with you the discovery of Morocco’s rich culture — wandering the vibrant medinas of Essaouira and Marrakech, and exploring the cinematic landscapes of Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, where Hollywood films once came to life. Sunset rides through historic Ksar.

You will leave with the profound sense of having traveled not just across Morocco, but through its soul — a journey of horses, landscapes, culture, and human connection that lingers long after the last ride.

Day 1

Arrival in Essaouira – Seaside Beginnings & Game of Thrones Echoes

Arrive in the laid-back coastal town of Essaouira, a UNESCO-listed medina filled with art, sea air, and cinematic beauty — it even served as a filming location for Game of Thrones, standing in as the city of Astapor.

A private transfer will escort you to a peaceful riad tucked into the heart of the medina. Spend the day unwinding, wandering through winding alleys, and soaking in the magic of this bohemian town that once inspired legends like Jimi Hendrix.

Meals:
No meals included today — enjoy discovering local cafés and restaurants at your own pace.

Day 2

Into the Wild – Horseback Trek Begins

Enjoy a hearty Moroccan breakfast in your riad before heading out to meet your horse for the start of a two-day adventure.

Ride through undisturbed nature: argan forestsmimosa groves, and shifting dunes. The air is alive with the scent of eucalyptus as you follow scenic trails across open fields and wild terrain.

Stop mid-ride for a scenic picnic lunch, before continuing to a peaceful countryside villa, your home for the night. Settle in, relax by the pool, and enjoy a homemade Moroccan dinner under the stars.

Day 3

Beach Gallops & Return to Essaouira

Wake up to birdsong and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the villa. Then saddle up for a final morning ride along endless Atlantic beaches, perfect for exhilarating gallops or calm, meditative strolls.

Stop for a rustic lunch in a fisherman’s hut or panoramic cliffside spot, with ocean views stretching to the horizon.

Return to Essaouira by late afternoon. That evening, gather for a festive Moroccan dinner with live music and local flavors, celebrating the magic of the ride and the energy of the medina.

Day 4

Argan Roads to Marrakech – Personalized Discovery

After breakfast, we head inland. En route, visit a women’s argan oil cooperative and witness the ancestral techniques behind Morocco’s “liquid gold.” A meaningful stop to connect with the roots of rural craftsmanship.

Arrive in Marrakech, the “Red City,” where colors and chaos blend in beautiful harmony. After checking into your riad or chic Airbnb, we’ll help you choose two iconic sights to visit based on your interests — perhaps the Saadian Tombs, the elegant Bahia Palace, or the cinematic El Badi Palace.

As the day winds down, explore the souks, sip mint tea in the square, and enjoy Marrakech at your own pace.

Day 5

Road to Aït Ben Haddou – Sunset Ride Through History

After breakfast, depart Marrakech and journey into southern Morocco’s cinematic landscapes. Arrive at the ancient fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site — famously featured in Game of ThronesGladiator, and The Mummy.

In the golden light of late afternoon, saddle up for a 1.5–2 hour sunset horseback ride through and around the Ksar, where the glow of the sun paints the clay walls in deep, dreamy hues. Let time slip away in this timeless setting. If you are lucky, and its not dried out, you can pass through the river after exploring the Ksar itself.

Enjoy a warm Berber dinner and overnight in a local and cozy guesthouse.

Day 6:

Horses of the Silver Screen – Exploring Ouarzazate

After breakfast, head to Ouarzazate, home to the legendary Atlas Film Studios, where many Hollywood epics were filmed. Meet some of the horses who starred in movies like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven.

Continue your adventure with a ride across the stark and stunning landscapes surrounding the studios — cinematic in every sense.

Enjoy a local lunch, followed by a relaxed afternoon exploring the area. In the evening, share stories over a delicious dinner and rest in a comfortable guesthouse or kasbah stay.

Day 7:

Day 7: Return to Marrakech — Reflection & Farewell

After a final breakfast in the south, your journey takes you back toward Marrakech, passing through the shifting landscapes of Morocco’s heartland. Rolling hills, scattered villages, and stretches of open terrain mark the route, giving you time to reflect on the days spent in the saddle.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you can choose to extend your stay in the city or transfer directly to the airport. Either way, the memories of the trek—the rhythm of hooves on sand, the scent of argan and mint, and the quiet beauty of remote coasts and mountains—will stay with you long after the journey ends.

Meals:

  • Breakfast: in Ouarzazate or along the route

  • Lunch: roadside café or in Marrakech

Your Villa

You will stay in beautiful accommodation in the charming surfer-town of Sidi Kaouki, located about 20 km south of Essaouira. We offer comfortable double, twin, and triple rooms, all with private bathrooms.

The accommodation provides plenty of space to relax, both indoors and outdoors. After a day of riding, you can unwind by the outdoor swimming pool or enjoy a refreshing swim.

During the high season, it may occasionally be necessary to accommodate guests in a similar villa of the same standard, depending on availability.

Your charming guesthouse in Ait Ben Haddou

You’re staying in a beautiful guesthouse in Aït Ben Haddou, just a short walk from the historic ksar (400 meter). The setting is calm and open, with warm light and a strong sense of place.

Some rooms look out over the mountains, where the colors shift throughout the day, while others face a quiet garden that offers a bit of shade and stillness.

In the morning, breakfast is served on a terrace overlooking the landscape. You’ll have a typical Moroccan breakfast—fresh bread, honey, and tea—while the hills slowly warm up in the early light.

At night, the rooftop is a simple but special spot. There’s a swing where you can sit and relax, and with very little light around, the sky is clear and full of stars.

Your Meals

Our meals are lovingly prepared by our local chefs and served at the villa or the guest house, giving you the chance to enjoy the authentic flavours of Morocco.

Each morning begins with a traditional Moroccan breakfast, featuring a selection of local breads, jams, honey, amlou, and, depending on the day, yogurt or eggs. Coffee, Moroccan tea, and complimentary drinking water are available throughout the day.
