Your Journey Unfolds

The sound of hooves on sand, the scent of eucalyptus in warm air, and somewhere ahead — the Atlantic shining beyond the dunes. This ride along Morocco’s coast carries you from quiet argan forests to wide open beaches, where land and ocean meet without fences or hurry.

Your journey begins near Diabat, riding into the heart of Argana’s forests and visiting the region’s oldest argan tree. You’ll join a traditional argan oil workshop, share lunch beneath eucalyptus trees, and continue through Berber countryside toward the sea. A stop at Sidi M’Barek waterfalls marks the meeting of fresh water and ocean cliffs before reaching Sidi Kaouki. Sunset beach rides, a possible swim bareback with your horse, picnic lunches by the shore, views of Mogador Island, and a gallop past an old sultan’s palace shape the final days.

You stay in a guesthouse and villa, with luggage transferred for you and evenings filled with Moroccan dinners. This is a coastal ride made for those who want distance, wind, and the kind of freedom only a long sandy beach can give. Come ride where the land opens wide!

Day 1

Into The Heart Of Essaouira‘s Enchantment

Welcome to Sand and Saddle!

It’s time to meet your horse, your guide and riding companions. Following a short introduction, set off through the rolling countryside, riding beneath argan trees and passing traditional Berber villages. Follow the peaceful Oued El Ksob River toward Ghazoua village, where a scenic picnic lunch awaits. In the afternoon, continue riding toward the coast, arriving in Sidi Kaouki. Settle into a beautiful villa with a pool, welcomed with mint tea and Moroccan sweets. As evening falls, enjoy a home-cooked Moroccan dinner.

Day 2

Sunrise, Relaxation & Sunset Magic

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, followed by time to care for your horse, strengthening the bond between you.

Enjoy a leisurely afternoon by the pool, perfect for unwinding. For added indulgence, treat yourself to a hot oil massage (available upon request & on your own expense). Alternatively we can arrange a transport for you to visit the Medina of Essaouira.

As the day winds down, prepare for an unforgettable sunset ride along the beach. The golden hues of the evening sky provide the perfect backdrop for your personal photoshoot, creating timeless memories. Conclude the day with a restful evening at the guesthouse and enjoy a traditional dinner together.

Day 3

From the Heartland to the Ocean — via Sidi M’Barek Waterfalls

Wake up to the promise of another extraordinary day, beginning with a hearty breakfast to fuel your ride.
Set out from Sidi Kaoukie and trace a scenic trail.

As you approach the Atlantic, you make a beautiful detour to the Sidi M’Barek waterfalls, where freshwater meets ocean cliffs in a dreamy natural setting—perfect for photos and a moment of calm.

Continue your ride to the coastline and arrive in Sidi Kaouki in the afternoon.
Settle into the accommodation, unwind, and end the evening with a delicious Moroccan dinner.

Day 4

After breakfast, you prepare the horses for a ride towards Argana.

You visit the oldest argan tree in the region and join a local argan oil workshop to see how it is traditionally made.

Lunch is served under eucalyptus trees. Return to the villa for some free time by the pool. Massage is available if booked in advance.

Day 5

Farewell To The Coast

After breakfast and preparing the horses, we’ll depart from Sidi Kaouki around 10.30 AM. We’ll have a scenic picnic lunch break in the shade of Eucalyptus trees or by a fisherman’s cabin with stunning ocean views. The highlight of the day will be an exhilarating gallop across a vast sandy beach, a moment of pure freedom.

As the trek nears its end, we’ll spot the distant Mogador Island. Along the way, we’ll take individual gallop videos and ride past an ancient sultan’s palace, before arriving back at the stables around 5 PM, with memories to last a lifetime.

Your Villa

You will stay in beautiful accommodation in the charming surfer-town of Sidi Kaouki, located about 20 km south of Essaouira. We offer comfortable double, twin, and triple rooms, all with private bathrooms.

The accommodation provides plenty of space to relax, both indoors and outdoors. After a day of riding, you can unwind by the outdoor swimming pool or enjoy a refreshing swim.

During the high season, it may occasionally be necessary to accommodate guests in a similar villa of the same standard, depending on availability.

Your Meals

Our meals are lovingly prepared by our local chefs and served at the villa, giving you the chance to enjoy the authentic flavours of Morocco.

Each morning begins with a traditional Moroccan breakfast, featuring a selection of local breads, jams, honey, amlou, and, depending on the day, yogurt or eggs. Coffee, Moroccan tea, and complimentary drinking water are available throughout the day.

Lunch is served picnic-style during your ride and may include sandwiches, fresh salads, or a barbecue, depending on the day’s itinerary.
