Your Journey Unfolds

The sound of hooves on sand, the scent of eucalyptus in warm air, and somewhere ahead — the Atlantic shining beyond the dunes. This ride along Morocco’s coast carries you from quiet argan forests to wide open beaches, where land and ocean meet without fences or hurry.

Your journey begins near Diabat, riding into the heart of Argana’s forests and visiting the region’s oldest argan tree. You’ll join a traditional argan oil workshop, share lunch beneath eucalyptus trees, and continue through Berber countryside toward the sea. A stop at Sidi M’Barek waterfalls marks the meeting of fresh water and ocean cliffs before reaching Sidi Kaouki. Sunset beach rides, a possible swim bareback with your horse, picnic lunches by the shore, views of Mogador Island, and a gallop past an old sultan’s palace shape the final days.

You stay in a guesthouse and villa, with luggage transferred for you and evenings filled with Moroccan dinners. This is a coastal ride made for those who want distance, wind, and the kind of freedom only a long sandy beach can give. Come ride where the land opens wide! From the Atlantic Coast to the Atlas Mountains

This horseback trek takes you on a journey through two of the most spectacular landscapes of Morocco — from the wild Atlantic coastline to the peaceful valleys of the Atlas Mountains. It is a ride of contrasts, where ocean winds, ancient forests, and mountain silence shape an unforgettable adventure.

The journey begins along the coast near Diabat and Sidi Kaouki, where wide sandy beaches stretch endlessly beside the Atlantic. Here you ride through dunes and argan forests, discover traditional Berber villages, and learn about Morocco’s famous “liquid gold” while visiting a local argan oil workshop where the oil is produced for both culinary and cosmetic use.

As the adventure continues, the landscape gradually changes as you travel toward the High Atlas. Quiet mountain trails, terraced hillsides, and traditional villages guide you into a completely different world of Morocco. Riding near the peaceful waters of Lake Ouirgane, surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Atlas and the distant views of the Toubkal Massif, you experience the calm and authenticity of mountain life.

Your Berber horses carry you confidently across beaches, forests, valleys, and mountain tracks, while evenings are spent in welcoming riads, guesthouses, and villas where traditional Moroccan dinners and warm hospitality await.

This trek is designed for riders who want to experience the true diversity of Morocco — from the sound of Atlantic waves to the quiet beauty of the Atlas Mountains — all from the saddle of a remarkable horse.

Day 1

Where the Adventure Begins

The trip starts at 9:30 AM with a meeting at Jimi Hendrix Café in Diabat. Here you meet the team and the horses. Your luggage is taken separately to the evening stay.

From there, you ride into the argan forest, following quiet trails toward Sidi Kaouki. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the villa.

Day 2

From the Heartland to the Ocean — via Sidi M’Barek Waterfalls

Wake up to the promise of another extraordinary day, beginning with a hearty breakfast to fuel your ride.
Set out from Argana and trace a scenic route through rolling countryside and peaceful Berber villages. Warm smiles, mint tea and a glimpse into ancestral traditions welcome you along your path.

As you approach the Atlantic, you make a beautiful detour to the Sidi M’Barek waterfalls, where freshwater meets ocean cliffs in a dreamy natural setting—perfect for photos and a moment of calm.

Continue your ride to the coastline and arrive in Sidi Kaouki in the afternoon.
Relax by the pool and end the evening with a delicious Moroccan dinner.

Day 3

Liquid Gold & Coastal Serenity

After breakfast, you saddle up and ride toward Argana, following peaceful trails through the landscapes of southwestern Morocco. Along the way, you visit one of the oldest argan trees in the region, a living symbol of the land and its traditions. Here you discover the story of argan oil, often called the “liquid gold of Morocco.” At a local workshop, you explore how this precious oil is traditionally produced, learning about the careful process used to create argan oil both for culinary delights and for its world-renowned cosmetic benefits for skin and hair.

Later, a relaxing lunch is served under the shade of eucalyptus trees, surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, you return to the villa and enjoy some free time by the pool, the perfect moment to unwind. A massage can also be arranged in advance for those wishing to add an extra touch of relaxation to the day.

Day 4

Farewell To The Coast

After breakfast and preparing the horses, we’ll depart from Sidi Kaouki around 10 AM. We’ll have a scenic picnic lunch break in the shade of Eucalyptus trees or by a fisherman’s cabin with stunning ocean views. The highlight of the day will be an exhilarating gallop across a vast sandy beach, a moment of pure freedom.

As the trek nears its end, we’ll spot the distant Mogador Island. Along the way, we’ll take individual gallop videos and ride past an ancient sultan’s palace, before arriving back at the stables around 5 PM, with memories to last a lifetime.

Day 5

Relaxing Day in the Medina

Today is dedicated to relaxation and exploration at your own pace. Enjoy wandering through the charming streets of the Medina of Essaouira, where small artisan shops, lively markets, and historic alleyways invite you to discover the unique atmosphere of this coastal town.

Lunch and dinner are at your own expense, giving you the freedom to explore the many cafés and restaurants the Medina has to offer. If you wish, we are happy to help organize additional activities such as yoga sessions, kite surfing along the Atlantic coast, or a traditional Moroccan cooking class, allowing you to experience even more of the local culture and lifestyle.

Day 6:

Into the Atlas Mountains

After breakfast, you leave the coast behind and travel toward the majestic Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival, you are welcomed with traditional mint tea and a light lunch while taking in the peaceful mountain scenery.

In the afternoon, you set off on a magical three-hour ride along the shores of the beautiful Lake Lalla Takerkoust. Surrounded by wide mountain views and the calm reflections of the water, the ride offers a serene and unforgettable experience.

As evening falls, a freshly prepared Moroccan dinner awaits you. It is served either in your charming guesthouse or, if you prefer, in a traditional tent under the open sky—creating a truly authentic mountain atmosphere and a memorable night in the heart of the Atlas.

Day 7:

Valley Exploration (Guesthouse)

Start with breakfast before heading out for a ride to explore the valley.

The trek begins among flower-speckled fields and a quiet river valley, then drifts into soft hills and scattered Berber hamlets.

Lunch stop is at the local souk (market day permitting), tasting freshly baked bread and seasonal produce. Return for a relaxed evening with another traditional dinner under the stars or by the fireplace.

Day 8:

Final day: Ride to the Salt Mines of Marigha and Return to Marrakech

After breakfast, saddle up for your final ride along tracks to the salt mines of Marigha. After a few hours you are reaching the ancient salt pans of Marigha, where donkeys still carry the shimmering crystals to nearby villages. Learn about this centuries-old tradition and enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the Toubkal Massif.

Return to Marrakech for your final night in a Riad in Marrakesh. A farewell dinner in the city can also be arranged if you wish. (Additional personal Expense).

Day 9:

Goodbye Marocco

Enjoy one last traditional maroccan breakfast before your check out.
