Day 2: Sunrise, Relaxation & Sunset Magic

Day 1: Into The Wilderness

9.30 AM Meeting at the famous Jimi Hendrix Café in the village of Diabat, we’ll take care of your luggage and transport it to your accommodation. After introductions to the team and horses, we’ll depart from the stables around 10 AM, beginning our ride through Argan and Eucalyptus forests. Enjoy a leisurely picnic under the shade of the trees, as the paths on the first day will keep you slowing down in preparation for the more exciting gallops in the following days.

We’ll pass through remote Berber villages. By the end of the day, we’ll arrive at our guesthouse just before sunset, where you’ll settle in and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and tea.

Day 2: Cascades & Beach Gallops

After breakfast, we’ll prepare the horses for the day’s ride. We’ll head toward the beautiful beaches of Sidi Kaouki, passing picturesque landscapes, camels, and shepherds with their goats along the way. This is truly a glimpse into the authentic Moroccan countryside. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch before arriving back at the same guesthouse, complete with a pool. Relax by the pool and enjoy some Moroccan tea and pastries, and end the day with a delightful dinner by the campfire.


Day 3: Sunset Ride

After breakfast and preparing the horses, we’ll embark on a shorter, yet exhilarating half-day ride, exploring nearby beaches and wild terrain. Following an exciting gallop on the beach, we’ll return to the same guesthouse in Sidi Kaouki, where you’ll enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool. For those who need some extra relaxation, a soothing massage is available (please inquire when booking/ on your personal expenses).

The day will end with a breathtaking sunset ride on the beach, complete with a personal photo session to capture the memories. Overnight at the guesthouse.

Day 4: Farewell To The Coast

After breakfast and preparing the horses, we’ll depart from Sidi Kaouki around 10 AM. We’ll have a scenic picnic lunch break in the shade of Eucalyptus trees or by a fisherman’s cabin with stunning ocean views. The highlight of the day will be an exhilarating gallop across a vast sandy beach, a moment of pure freedom.

As the trek nears its end, we’ll spot the distant Mogador Island. Along the way, we’ll take individual gallop videos and ride past an ancient sultan’s palace, before arriving back at the stables around 5 PM, with memories to last a lifetime.

This longer itinerary is designed for more advanced riders, taking you through a range of breathtaking landscapes. From picturesque valleys and lush fields to expansive Argan forests and mountainous terrain with narrow paths and impressive canyons, this trek offers it all. The second half of the journey brings us back to the Atlantic coast, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy wild gallops on endless beaches.

Day 1: Into The Argan Forests

We will meet at 9:30 am at the Jimi Hendrix Café in the village of Diabat, where we will welcome you and arrange luggage transport to your guesthouse. After meeting the horses, we’ll depart from the stables around 10 am, riding along the Oued Ksob river towards Ghazoua. Along the way, we will pass the largest Argan forest in the region, stretching from Essaouira to Agadir. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the shade of the Argan trees.

After a short rest, we will continue our ride through forests, heading toward the village of Ida Ougourd. In the evening, we’ll reach our guesthouse, nestled near the Argan trees, just before the village, and close to an old sugar refinery. Here, you’ll settle in for the evening and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 2: Through Berber Villages 

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, we’ll saddle up and begin our ride through fields and Argan forests. Depending on the season, you may see local farmers working with their donkeys and cows.

After lunch, we’ll head towards Argana, riding through rugged mountainous landscapes. You’ll have the option to visit an Argan oil cooperative run by local women, where you can sample and purchase handmade products.

We will arrive at the oldest Argan forest in the region, where our guesthouse will be ready for us to rest for the night. After a relaxing evening, we’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the guesthouse.

Day 3: Panoramic Views & Atlantic Coast

Today begins with a traditional Moroccan breakfast before we saddle up and begin our ride through a small Berber village, navigating hills and valleys. We’ll stop for a break and lunch before continuing the journey.

In the afternoon, we’ll ride along winding mountain paths, eventually reaching a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Iftane sand dunes and the Atlantic Ocean—truly one of the most spectacular views of the entire trip.

We’ll reach the small fishing village of Iftane and stay the night in a local family-run guesthouse with ocean views. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the guesthouse in the evening.

Day 4: Coastal Beauty & Saltwater Ponds

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast and getting the horses ready, we’ll spend the morning riding through small coastal villages, heading toward the Sidi M’Barek cascades and the saltwater ponds of Smimou, where we’ll stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will continue to our guesthouse located by the ocean. You’ll have the opportunity to relax with a swim in the pool, enjoy Moroccan tea and pastries, and settle in before dinner, which will be served around a campfire.

A traditional Moroccan dinner will be served at the guesthouse, offering a delightful end to the day.

Day 5: Endless Beach Gallops

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast and preparing the horses, we’ll continue along breathtakingly beautiful, deserted beaches and vast sand dunes. The feeling of freedom while galloping along these endless shores is unforgettable.

We’ll arrive at a stunning guesthouse in Sidi Kaouki, where we’ll have lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool. For those interested in additional relaxation, a soothing massage is available (please inquire when booking).

The day will end with a memorable sunset ride along the beach, and we’ll take personal photos to capture the experience. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the guesthouse.

Day 6: The Final Coastal Ride

After breakfast, we’ll begin our ride back towards Essaouira, following a route that offers more expansive wild beaches and massive sand dunes typical of the region. We’ll pass by the Cap Sim lighthouse, Berber villages, and small fishing villages along the coast. We’ll stop for a picnic lunch with stunning ocean views.

After lunch, we’ll take individual gallop videos on the beach before riding back to the stables through Eucalyptus and Mimosa forests, passing an ancient sultan’s palace along the way.

We’ll arrive back at the stables around 5 pm, and the trip will come to an end.

Day 3: Beach Gallops & Return to Essaouira

Day 4: Argan Roads to Marrakech
After breakfast, journey inland with a stop at a local women’s argan cooperative — a chance to connect with local traditions and craftsmanship.
Upon arriving in Marrakech, explore the city’s historical wonders: perhaps the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, or El Badi Palace. Wander the souks, take in the colors and energy, and enjoy dinner together in a lively spot. Spend the night in a charming riad or a stylish Marrakech Airbnb.


Day 5: The Road to Aït Ben Haddou
Have breakfast and depart Marrakech, heading into Morocco’s dramatic southern landscapes. Arrive at the ancient Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou — a UNESCO World Heritage site where history and desert scenery meet.

Day 6: Farewell & Group Journey Begins

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After a delicious welcome breakfast, meet your horses in the quiet village of Diabat and set off through argan forests, crossing paths with donkeys, camels, and grazing goats along the way.

Stop for a picnic lunch under eucalyptus trees, then continue riding toward Argana. Tonight you will enjoy your first night in a guest house with a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 2 – Argana → Sidi Kaouki (Villa Stay)

Start the day with breakfast before riding through rolling countryside and Berber farmland, eventually reaching the Atlantic coast.

Enjoy a canter along wide, untouched beaches before arriving at your private villa. Relax by the pool or terrace, then savor a freshly prepared dinner made with local ingredients.

Day 3 – Sidi Kaouki → Sidi Mbarek (Villa Stay)

Day 4 – Sidi Kaouki → Essaouira (Riad Stay)

Breakfast at the villa before your last coastal ride, which leads through dunes and small fishing villages back toward Essaouira, passing the ruins of Dar Sultan Palace — the “castle in the sand.”

Say goodbye to your horses at the stables and transfer to your riad in the medina. You can enjoy are free evening and explore the sourroundings.

Day 5 – Relaxing Day (Riad Stay)

Enjoy exploring the medina. Lunch & Dinner is on your own expense. On your wish we can help you to organise activities (Yoga, Kite-Surfing, Cooking Class etc.).

Day 6 – Essaouira → Ouirgane Valley (Guesthouse or Tent)

After breakfast, transfer to the Atlas Mountains. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome tea and light lunch, then set off on a 3-hour afternoon ride with picnic stop, passing olive groves and along the lake.

Dinner is a freshly cooked Moroccan meal served either in your charming guesthouse or, if you choose, in a tent for a true mountain experience.

Day 7 – Trekking & Valley Exploration (Guesthouse or Tent)

Start with breakfast before heading out on foot to explore the valley. Ride along the river, watch locals tending their fields, and enjoy the calm of the Atlas Mountains.

Lunch stop is at the local souk (market day permitting), tasting freshly baked bread and seasonal produce. Return for a relaxed evening with another traditional dinner under the stars or by the fireplace.

Day 8 – Ride to the Salt Mines of Marigha & Return to Marrakech

After breakfast, saddle up for your final ride along tracks to the salt mines of Marigha. Learn about this centuries-old tradition and enjoy a picnic lunch with views of the Toubkal Massif.

Return to Marrakech for your final night in a Riad in Marrakesh. A farewell dinner in the city can also be arranged if you wish. 

Day 9 – Departure Day

Breakfast & Transport to the airport or Riad.

Join us on an unforgettable 6-8 day horseback trek along Morocco’s Atlantic coastline. Starting near the bohemian coastal town of Essaouira, you’ll ride south through secluded beaches, Berber villages, argan forests, and dramatic cliffs—ending your journey near Taghazout, just north of Agadir.

Each evening, relax under the stars in traditional bivouacs and enjoy authentic Moroccan meals prepared by our support team.

Day 1: Arrival in Essaouira

Arrival at Essaouira airport (or optional transfer from Marrakech or Agadir).
Optional: Welcome dinner and night in a guesthouse in Sidi Kaouki with swimming pool.

Day 2: Into the Wild – Horseback Trek Begins
Sidi Kaouki → Tafedna

Begin your ride with a gallop along wide beaches, passing waterfalls and argan orchards. End the day at a peaceful fishing village.
Overnight: Bivouac near Tafedna in a family farm.

Day 3: Beach Gallops & Return to Essaouira
Follow wild cliffs and rocky coastal paths past Cap Tafelney. A spectacular day with panoramic views of the ocean.
Overnight: Cliffside bivouac at Imardidsen.

Day 4: Imardidsen → Tildi

Ride through small Berber villages, stone-walled fields, and argan forests. The day ends with breathtaking ocean views.
Overnight: Bivouac on the cliffs in Tildi.

Day 5: Tildi → Tamri

Ride through desert-like dunes, pink sandstone formations, and along the Tamri river valley.
Overnight: Bivouac near a palm grove in Tamri.

Day 6: Tamri → Aghroude
A final ride through remote trails and wild coastline before reaching the Aghroude region.
Overnight: Bivouac near Aghroude.

Day 7:  Aghroude → Imi Ouaddar / Taghazout

Short morning ride, picnic, and farewell to the horses.
Optional: Final night in a seaside apartment near Imi Ouaddar.

Day 8: Farewell Departure from Agadir
Transfer to Agadir airport (or Essaouira/Marrakech on request).
Free time to relax, shop, surf, or enjoy a hammam before your departure.

During our horseback hikes, we sleep in Berber tents and igloo-style tents, right next to the horses – a magical way to connect with nature and the rhythm of the ride. Our bivouac setup includes a dedicated kitchen tent and a wash cabin with a chemical toilet, ensuring both comfort and authenticity even in remote landscapes.
